The 2016 Heritage Conservation Summit

The Heritage Conservation Society and the City Government of Dumaguete City organized the Heritage Conservation Summit 2016, from 11-13 November 2016 at Guy Hall, Silliman University in Dumaguete City. The Summit, which was being organized for the fifth time, has adopted the theme Heritage Tourism. It aimed to bring together a wide spectrum of participants representing national government, local government units, local heritage societies, the academe, cultural workers, heritage professionals, the tourism industry, and the media. Its primary objective was to discuss and exchange knowledge on the best practices in heritage and cultural tourism in the Philippines, its recent developments and the challenges and opportunities faced in the conservation of heritage.
