HCS Hosts HOCUS Shooting Hot Heritage Lecture

The Heritage Conservation Society (HCS) together with the National Museum (NM), last May 23, 2017, hosted the second HOCUS Lecture entitled Shooting Hot Heritage.

Held at the Osmena Hall of the National Museum of Fine Arts, the lecture focused on how technology can be used for heritage conservation as well as the symbols used in the Hofilena and Custodio paintings currently exhibited.

Among the speakers was Atty. Saul Hofilena who talked about HOCUS Symbols; and Mr. Conrad Alampay of DigiScript and a Trustee of Heritage Conservation Society who discussed how 3D scanning helps in documenting and archiving heritage structures on his talk entitled "Digitizing Hot Heritage in 3D".

HOCUS Lectures is a series of talks in conjunction with the “Hocus: The Hofileña & Custodio Paintings”, an exhibit curated by the Society’s Chairperson-Emerita, Ms. Gemma Cruz-Araneta.

The exhibit will run from April 18, 2017, to October 29, 2017.
